Here is the main difference between the devices.

Huawei Y7 Pro (2019)

  • Larger screen size
  • Better performing CPU (Multi-core)
  • Better performing GPU
  • Secondary main rear camera lens
  • Higher front camera resolution
  • Longer-lasting battery life

Huawei Y6 Pro (2019)

  • Slightly taller screen aspect ratio
  • Better performing CPU (Single-core)
  • Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box

The Y7 Pro 2019 comes with a larger display while the Y6 Pro 2019 has a slightly taller screen aspect ratio, giving way for a higher horizontal resolution. For this aspect, the former is a better pick especially when you want a smartphone mainly for watching or streaming videos.

As for performance, the Y7 Pro 2019 comes out on top with its Snapdragon 450 chipset. Based on the benchmark scores, it is faster when doing multiple tasks, but the Y6 Pro 2019 got the upper hand in terms of single task executions. Gaming-wise, the former is significantly better than the latter.

The Y7 Pro 2019 and Y6 Pro 2019 almost have an identical rear camera setup except that the former has an extra 2MP equipped for depth-of-effect quality in the photos. It also has a higher front camera resolution which is double the value of the latter. People who want to have a smartphone with better camera performance, go with the Y7 Pro.

In terms of battery performance, the Y7 Pro 2019 outlasts the Y6 Pro 2019 by a significant amount of time (check benchmarks above). This means that if you are into traveling and you want a smartphone that can last long without having to worry of charing it frequently, then go for the former.

As for the features, the Y6 Pro 2019 already carries an Android 9 Pie OS out-of-the-box whereas the Y7 Pro 2019 only has Android 8.1 Oreo. It’s kind of weird to see that the more powerful and newer variant has a relatively outdated operating system than its siblings.

The Huawei Y7 Pro 2019 is priced at PHP 9,990 while the Y6 Pro 2019 has a price of PHP 6,990. Both smartphones are great smartphones given their affordable prices. What do you guys think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Huawei is next to Samsung when it comes to loading bloatware on their phones. Useless installed apps you are not able to remove. Go for other chinese brands like xiaomi or oppo.
