We’re receiving reports from various sources that local smartphone brand myPhone is set to release new devices this quarter of the year, and is indeed held true by ROM leaks we’ve found in cyberspace. One of them is the re-release of the company’s most popular budget smartphone, this time equipped with a different flavor and a brand new feature in tow.
Enter the my28S DTV, now packed with Digital TV functions. If we are going to base it with the chipset mentioned in the ROM page, there would be no changes with its hardware —  we’d see the same set of specifications and maybe an updated software in the works, too. We’re thinking of this same spec sheet:
MyPhone my28SÂ DTVÂ (possible) specs:
4-inch WVGA (800 x 480) display, 233ppi
1.2GHz Spreadtrum SC7731 quad-core processor
512MB RAM
4GB internal storage
expandable up to 32GB via microSD
5MP rear camera w/ LED flash
2MP front camera w/ LED flash
Dual-SIM (Micro + Mini)
3G, 2G
Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth
GPS
DTV
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
1,450mAh removable battery
The unit, unlike the Smart bundle we’ve seen earlier this year, is going to cost maybe around the sub-Php2K original price similarly offered to the my28 when it first launched last last year since it will be an open-line unit. Read our My28S review here.
