realme teases a smartphone packing over 10,000mAh battery capacity

Listen to article

realme previously showcased a concept phone carrying a 10,000mAh battery. The brand managed to fit in such a large capacity in a phone measuring only 8.5 mm thick and weighing about 215 grams.

In a recent post on X, realme teased to launch a similar smartphone packing an even larger battery capacity than 10,000mAh for consumers. The company says more details will be announced on August 27, 2025.

The teaser was accompanied by a short video featuring realme VP Chase Xu, but it didn’t reveal much about the phone itself.

The earlier prototype shown earlier this year was part of the realme GT Series that used silicon-anode battery technology. This allows higher energy density in slimmer designs, so it’s possible that the upcoming model will use the same technology.

If this release pushes through, it would be one of the few smartphones to double the usual battery capacity nowadays, which is 5000mAh.
