Vivo X7 and X7 Plus announced: Midrange with 4GB RAM

Vivo has unveiled new smartphones with mid-range specifications but sport a generous 4GB of RAM — Vivo X7 and Vivo X7 Plus. Don’t they look familiar?

The two new handset, like most sister devices sporting the ‘Plus’ moniker, are very similar to each other with just little differences. Both are powered by the Snapdragon 652 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and spacious 64GB of internal storage. Other similarities are the 16MP selfie camera with a bright f/2.0 lens, fingerprint scanner, and a DAC audio processor. The two has LTE Cat7, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.

The X7 and X7 Plus mainly differs in screen size and battery capacity — a 5.2-inch with 3000mAh and a 5.7-inch with 4000mAh, respectively. Either of the two uses a Full HD AMOLED panel. Another difference is the main camera sensor as the X7 has a 13MP shooter while the X7 Plus is blessed with a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor.

Both of the handsets are running a dated Android 5.1 Lollipop skinned with Funtouch OS version 2.5.1. The X7 will for CNY 2,498 (~Php 17,700) starting on July 7 while the X7 Plus will be sold on a later date on July 15 with an unconfirmed tag yet.
