Appdate: Google Now for iOS

Listen to article

Google Now received an update for the latest Android KitKat alongside with the Nexus 5. Few days after, the iOS version of Google Now receives the neat update too.

Google Now for iOS is under the Google Search app, which benefits from easy updating compared to the Android counterpart. Apple’s iOS 6 users and above will enjoy the new features of Google’s personal assistant.

What’s new in the latest version (3.1.0) of Google Search app for iOS:
– Notifications: Get notified when it’s time to go
– Reminders: Never forget to put out the trash
– New cards: See tickets, boarding passes, & more
– Handsfree voice: Just say “OK Google” to search

The “OK Google” feature requires at least iPhone 4S though.

So head to the Appstore and update!

@MPonteres: That’s only true for iOS users. Android users running 4.1 and up have it.
