Back in April, Dell gave gamers something to hope and dream for by unveiling their G series budget-friendly gaming laptops. Today, two of these laptops make their way locally via known retailer Villman — The G3 and G7. There’s a catch though, they’re not the budget-friendly wonders we thought they’d be.

The entire line-up is not here as only the G3 and G7 variants are present, the G5 was not yet listed. For the G3, Villman is offering two variants of the 15.6-inch model. One equipped with an 8th generation i5 processor, Nvidia GTX 1050 GPU, 1TB HDD, and 4GB of RAM. While the other is an 8th gen i7 model paired with Nvidia’s GTX 1050 GPU, a 128GB SSD, 1TB HDD, and 8GB of RAM. Sadly, there are no 17-inch models just yet.

Moving on to the G7, we also got two 15.6-inch variants with 8th generation i5 and i7 processors. The i5 variant is paired with Nvidia’s GTX 1050 GPU, a 1TB SSHD, and 4GB of RAM. The i7 model, on the other hand, is equipped with Nvidia’s GTX 1060 Max-Q 6GB GPU, a 256GB SDD, 1TB HDD, and 16GB of RAM (8×2).
The Dell G3 15-inch is priced at Php 49,990 for the i5 variant (see listing here) and Php 68,990 (see listing here)for the i7 one. The G7, on the other hand, is priced at Php 58,990 for the i5 variant (listing here) and a staggering Php 99,990 for the i7 one (listing here).

Mediocre screen and still thicker than other competitors (Asus GL503, MSI GS65). No RGB backlit keyboard, < 60% sRGB, Thunderbolt is a plus though. It shouldn’t have that pricetag. Villman is just OP, should be around $1000-1200 (65k for i7 on gray)
