Both agreed to start the building of bike lanes today, June 13.
Ensuring the safety of bikers, the protected bike lanes will be placed on the road with at least 1.5 meters of space. The project will also be done in two phases: one for interim and the other one for the long-term.
The agencies’ decision to build bike lanes on EDSA will improve mobility as people switch to bicycles as a mode of transportation during the coronavirus pandemic.
