Epson unveils first 12,000 lumens native 4K laser projector

Epson recently unveiled in Bangkok, Thailand their first 12,000 lumens native 4K 3CLD laser projector, the EB-L12000Q, and a 20,000 lumen WUXGA laser projector, the EB-L20000U.

Designed for demanding environments like rental and staging events, large auditoriums and digital signage installations, the EB-L12000Q is the industry’s first 12,000 lumens native 4K 3LCD laser projector and is one of the lightest in class. It sports an Epson-developed native 4K panel which can deliver 4K resolution at 3840 x 2160 pixels for ultra-high definition projections.

It also features a triple layer dust-proof structure which houses a sealed optical engine for durability and resistance and reduces airflow by 86% compared to the previous models to minimize dust and smoke intrusion. Keeping things cool is a newly developed liquid cooling system that maintains optimal temperatures of key optical elements within the sealed optical engine. And comes with a mechanical shutter that protects the lens from laser light damage.

In addition to the EB-L12000Q, Epson also unveiled the EB-L20000U which is the company’s first model in the 20,000 lumen WUXGA installation projection sector. It shares the design and features of the EB-L12000Q sans the native 4K projection.

Both projectors are able to rotate 360 degrees in any direction without loss in image brightness for installation flexibility, has a built-in camera enables remote diagnostics and setup and can deliver up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free use.

The EB-L12000Q and EB-L20000U projectors will be available for sale in the region in the second half of 2019.
