Lenovo just dropped the Legion Go 2 at IFA 2025, the brand’s next-gen handheld Windows console. It comes with a mix of upgrades and tweaks, promising more endurance and smoother gaming for both AAA and indie titles. Let’s break it down.
Lenovo Legion Go 2

The OG Legion Go debuted last year with a high-res 8.8-inch QHD+ screen. For the Legion Go 2, Lenovo keeps the same 8.8-inch size and 144Hz refresh rate, but scales the resolution down to 1920 x 1200. Why? To balance visuals with longer battery life. The new screen also supports VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), VESA TrueBlack 1000, 500 nits peak brightness, and 97% DCI-P3 coverage.
Under the hood, the big jump is the new AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme APU with Radeon 890M graphics, configurable with up to 32GB RAM and 2TB SSD storage, plus a microSD slot. That means you’re getting smoother gameplay across the board, whether you’re running Cyberpunk or Stardew Valley.
Battery life is another major win, Lenovo upgraded from a 49.2Wh 2-cell to a beefy 74Wh 4-cell pack. With 65W fast charging, you can get back into the game quickly.
Like the first model, you’re getting Lenovo’s versatile detachable controllers that support console, handheld, and tablet modes. The right controller can even be used as a vertical mouse for FPS gamers. On top of that, Lenovo added three programmable buttons customizable via Legion Space.
Other features include dual 2W speakers, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm jack, and a 920g build.
Pricing & Availability
The Lenovo Legion Go 2 goes for €999 (PHP 63K). First sales kick off in Europe later this month, with a wider global rollout expected soon.
