LG launches new Desktop Mode with Android 10 update

With LG’s latest UX 9.0 based on Android 10 update, also came a new desktop mode that leverages bigger displays.

LG’s desktop mode improves on Android’s existing desktop mode feature, giving it a cleaner and more user-friendly design. Users can resize windows, keep the app drawer in the bottom left corner, play games and more. Users can access the desktop mode by plugging their LG phones to any display via USB Type-C to HDMI adapter. Once plugged in, users will get a “Desktop mode” notification, which they can tap to enable.

Currently, the LG V50, LG G8 ThinQ, and LG G7 One have already received the UX 9.0 update. The LG G8X, LG V30, and LG V40 are also said to receive the update.
