Listen to article

The MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ is set to be unveiled on May 7 at the MediaTek Dimensity Developer Conference.

The upcoming chipset will have a focus on artificial intelligence (AI), and is expected to provide high-end CPU performance. Reports claim that the prime Cortex-X4 core clocks up to 3.4GHz, going up from the base Dimensity 9300’s 3.25GHz.

However, the remaining cores are slated to operate at the same clock speeds. These are three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85GHz and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz.

The awaited chip is also rumored to feature a boosted AI Processing Unit (APU) and an overclocked GPU. The APU plays into the upcoming week’s conference theme, which is ‘AI for Everything’.

It’s also assumed that the vivo X100s will be among the first smartphones to be powered by the upcoming chipset. With the launch nearby, we’ll keep an eye out for the full details behind the Dimensity 9300+ chipset.
