NVIDIA has just launched a new model of its GeForce RTX 3080. This new model comes with 12GB of RAM.
This is an increase of 2GB from the previous 10GB that was offered in the initial release of the RTX 3080 and matches the 12GB found in the RTX 3080 Ti. The new RTX 3080 also comes with 8960 CUDA cores, an increase over the original. The GPU also has a 384-bit memory bus, another increase from the original version.
The new RTX 3080 draws more power than the original version, up to 350 watts than the 320W draw on the original version. NVIDIA still recommends a 750W power supply for the new RTX 3080.
Full pricing details for the new RTX 3080 are not available yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
