For years now, Samsung is the go-to partner of Apple when it comes to premium screens. Now, rumors suggest a new chapter in their display partnership – one with a hinge.
Details are slim, but a report from DigiTimes Asia (spotted by Wccftech), hints at a newfound deal between Apple and Samsung Display specifically focused on foldable devices.

This heavily implies a foldable iPhone in the future, with Samsung providing the all-important display tech. Frankly, that’s not exactly a shocker.

However, there’s a long wait ahead. Previous report suggested a foldable iPhone might not be the initial foldable offering until 2026, with a folding iPad taking precedence.
Additionally, Apple just unveiled the new lineup of iPad Air and iPad Pro, making a foldable tablet announcement unlikely. Although, a formal teaser (or at least a ‘one more thing’) at the iPhone 16 launch in September is a possibility.
