Just this afternoon, Uber paid its P190 million penalty to LTFRB (Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board). The account was settled by Uber representatives through a check payment.
The LTFRB previously said that the Uber can only resume operations until its P190 million fine is settled. They also ordered Uber to pay an additional P19.9 million daily to its partner-drivers. The LTFRB explained that the P190 million fine was based on the “remaining 19 days of the suspension order multiplied by Uber’s average daily income of P10 million”.

I just hope they put this money to good use. They can use that to scrap the current officials and get a new one, just a suggestion though. :)
