YouTube has a new search bar called Ask YouTube. It is a new AI-powered search feature using more natural, conversational questions.

Instead of typing short keywords, users can ask detailed questions such as how to teach a child to ride a bike or which cozy games are worth playing before bedtime. Users can also ask follow-up questions to narrow down results further.
Ask YouTube then scans their platform’s full catalog including regular videos and YouTube Shorts. It then presents the most relevant content in a structured and interactive response.

The feature is currently available to YouTube Premium members aged 18 and above in the United States through youtube.com/new. The brand states that it plans to expand Ask YouTube to all users in the future.
Alongside the new search experience, YouTube is also rolling out Gemini Omni to Shorts Remix and the YouTube Create app. This lets users to transform eligible Shorts using text prompts and images.
