Ragnarok Online spiritual successor coming in 2014

Tree of Savior, a spiritual successor to the popular MMORPG Ragnarok Online, is set to arrive next year and will feature 80 classes and sprite-based character models.

Tree of Savior, also known as Project R1, is currently in development by Korean developer IMC Games. It is led by the “father of Ragnarok Online” Kim Hakkyu, and aims to be the spiritual successor of Ragnarok Online 1.

Tree of Savior

According to the game’s Facebook Page, Tree of Savior “adopted many elements from western MMORPGs such as WoW,” and “will feature sprite-based character models in a 3D world (also known as 2.5D), much like the original RO.” Add to that the 80, yes, EIGHTY classes to choose from once it opens to public. Watch the gameplay trailer below:

Tree of Savior is slated to enter its first closed beta in February 2014.

  1. Wow! :D hindi ko pa kasi na try maglaro ng ragnarok na ganito… yung unang ragnarok yung nalaro ko.. pero for sure ang ganda nitong bagong update for 2014.

  2. I hope this would be just a single server not fragmented like the current state of RO

  3. Addict mode ulet. hunt hunt din pag may time. hehehe

  4. namiss na namin ni jillrose yan lalo na pag pvp mode kaming dalawa

  5. Di na me makapag hintay sana mag next year na agad!! wala kwents kc ung ragnarok online 2 eh kaya nananatili parin me sa Ph RO >.<

  6. mas okay pa sa akin ang P2P, hina-hunt ang gamit, hindi binibili sa Item Mall. wala sanang botting, babalik ako.

  7. Is this free to play? And is it installable sa Mac? hehe :D I wish there is open beta for this game :)

  8. Hello, yes this paragraph is in fact pleasant and I have learned lot of things from it on the topic of blogging. thanks.

  9. I miss this game specially the time where I save money to buy top-up cards. By the way, I’ve heard on the news that Ragnarok Philippines will now be migrating to international Ragnarok online.
