Tree of Savior, a spiritual successor to the popular MMORPG Ragnarok Online, is set to arrive next year and will feature 80 classes and sprite-based character models.
Tree of Savior, also known as Project R1, is currently in development by Korean developer IMC Games. It is led by the “father of Ragnarok Online” Kim Hakkyu, and aims to be the spiritual successor of Ragnarok Online 1.

According to the game’s Facebook Page, Tree of Savior “adopted many elements from western MMORPGs such as WoW,” and “will feature sprite-based character models in a 3D world (also known as 2.5D), much like the original RO.” Add to that the 80, yes, EIGHTY classes to choose from once it opens to public. Watch the gameplay trailer below:
Tree of Savior is slated to enter its first closed beta in February 2014.

I miss this game specially the time where I save money to buy top-up cards. By the way, I’ve heard on the news that Ragnarok Philippines will now be migrating to international Ragnarok online.
