Qualcomm just announced their next-generation chip for mobile devices — the Snapdragon 820. Unlike the 810, Qualcomm went back to the drawing board and focused on Qualcomm Zeroth, their first cognitive capable platform.
Not much was revealed about the 820 but Qualcomm teases us that the Snapdragon 820 processor is designed on a leading edge FinFET process node which features a new 64-bit, custom Kryo CPU.
To better understand what the cognitive technology can be used in our devices:
Qualcomm is expected to release the first batch of Snapdragon 820 in the middle of the year so that might take until 3rd or 4th quarter of 2015 until we see devices running Snapdragon 820.
