Acer Revo Build M1-601: a modular Windows 10-powered mini PC

Listen to article

Acer has announced the Revo Build M1-601 – a modular mini PC that lets you upgrade or customize certain components by simply stacking “Blocks” on top of the base unit.

The Revo Build features a base unit that houses an Intel Pentium or Intel Celeron processor, Intel HD Graphics, and up to 8GB DDR RAM. The RAM can be upgraded by just loosening one screw.

Now if you want to increase its functionality you can get Blocks containing hardware like a 500GB/1TB hot-swappable Portable Hard Drive, Wireless Power Bank for wireless charging, or Audio Block with speakers and microphones. Just stack it on top of the base unit and it will connect to each other through pogo pins with magnetic alignment so there’s no need to worry about wires. Acer will gradually roll out more expansion Blocks in the future.

The Acer Revo Build M1-601 will be available in China in December starting at 1,999 Yuan (~Php15,000).
