Amazon has now opened its Kindle platform to bloggers, allowing them to submit/publish their blog to the network for subscription. Now you can make money from Amazon once people subscribe to your blog via the Kindle.
You will get paid 30% of the monthly blog subscription price for every subscriber to your blog. As for pricing of the subscription fee, Amazon will be the one putting a fair value for it.
There’s a catch though — even if you publish your blog on Kindle, payment options only allow EFT and check to a US address. Nevertheless, it would be good to have this additional distribution channel even without the payback.

Emphasis mine.

Yeah, saw that part but when you sign up and pick the payment method, it says “Check to a US address ($8 fee)”.

Signed up our site too and to be frank, I do not expect anyone to pay to view my blog! hehe I guess the publicity it might bring is good enough for me!
Reel Advice says:
by the way, I think they should include Western Union Money Transfer like what Google Adsense did – very convenient IMO.
but if it is still via check, what I;m thinking is send the check to Johnny Air and have it shipped here! Question is, how much would that cost? It would take lots of money just to break even right?
vern says:
The only blogs people will pay to read even though they can read it for free online are the top tier blogs. This is going to be irrelevant for most.
