Globe is running a short promo on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 since last Friday and will end tomorrow. The two handsets will be available for free on a monthly service plan fee of only Php999.
For the monthly price of Php999, you basically get the SuperSurf Plan 999 and get unlimited mobile internet with the free handset.
It’s a pretty tempting especially if you’re eyeing the Galaxy Note 2. The promo is limited until August 26, tomorrow.

Got my Note 2 at Eastwood branch on the second day of the promo and FYI, recontracting at my existing plan of Unlisurf 999, was supposed to check only my bill, CSR offered this ’cause I haven’t availed any loyalty program since I started my plan, after 30mins, boom! Hello new Note 2!

Again crappy and bad service of Globe! The Trinoma branch made us wait for 4 very long hours just to tell us they are out of stock. we wasted a lot of time just to wait patiently in line! me and my wife are long time Globe users. Please tell Globe about their inefficiencies in theor customer service. Kung di nila kaya dalhin yung promo and their promises, wag na lang nila i-roll out just for getting more subscribers!
Personally, I don’t think the promo is worth it. I have fallen to these kinds of promo twice and both times I regretted them. You get a Note 2 and your next upgrade would be the Note 5. In between, you’ll see the advantages of the Note 3 and 4 over the 2. And you would be pulling your hair over it. At least when you get the Note 3 at launch, skipping the Note 4 for 5 won’t be that excruciating. Personal opinion though.
went to alabang town center yesterday by 8pm as usual no units. same with festival mall alabang saturday pa lang wala na daw. nakakapagtaka nga mga employee nila may mga hawak na paperbag from globe which so disapponting kc try to look at eh mga box of phone ang laman.and pretty sure note2 ang laman. 4 of them were promodizer talaga ng ATC. kc uwian na kagabi. cant believe. globe sucks when it comes to their promo like this.
We applied to get a Note 2 in Filinvest Mall, Alabang. Sabi ng store rep, out of stock na daw even yung S3. Nakakapagtaka lang dahil dapat kung qualified ka, kahit ubos na yung stock, they should provide you by the time that they already have a stock. You’re qualified naman e. E ubusan lang daw, bad trip. Sana kung Day 2 or 3 pa lang ubos na, wag na nila ipakalat yung flyers. Lol.
kaya pala nung isang araw habang hintay ko gf ko lumabas ng CR sa SM Taytay may nag CR din n babae GLOBE employee ang pinagtataka ko lang bakit sya may dala ng GLOBE paper bag tapos may gamit syang CP galaxy note 2 hahaha alam na :D
Unlike Smart’s iPhone 4S sale, I was able to get a Samsung Galaxy S3 sa Globe Glorietta within 2 hours (had to head back to the office for requirements) on the first day of the promo.
Side story: I saw another applicant who ought to get a S4 plan. Then I heard the store rep tell him that the S3 is free at Plan 999. He got the S3 instead and will just wait for the new iPhone daw. Good decision IMO :)
I was able to get a Blue Samsung Galaxy Note 2 last Saturday 8/24 from SM Marikina. I also went to Globe Eastwood when I assisted my brother in getting one. Both stores have stocks, but not sure how many.
It’s always a rule of thumb on any sale to go to the store on the 1st day (or 2nd day).

ganun na lang ginawa ko.. nagsign up ako tas sabi ko kung may note 2 iinform ako.. kung wala na eh di oks lang.. kung kaya sila nagpromo eh dahil aannounce na ang Note 3.. kelan pa labas nun.. medyo malabo na di na sila uli magstostock ng Note 2 from now till lumabas nga ang Note 3..
Same experience here, went to Globe this morning. Note 2 and S3 are not available since day1 pa daw sabi ng rep na nakausap ko. Even the 299 plan na Huawei G510 nde na din available only the Galaxy S Duos and S4@1799 and Note 2 LTE are available. Nakakainis dapat kung wala ng stock mag-receive pa rin sila ng application for the plan and provide the phone when it’s available.
may alam pa ba kayong store kung san available pa ung note 2?
dapat kasi isama ng globe ung pagbabawal na makapagavail ng mga ganito ung mga employees nila…pero di rin nila gagawin yan kasi pera pa rin naman un kahit cnu bumili hahahaha
Walang kwenta to promo na to. Sabi na tulad sa smart. Pagpunta ko now wala na daw stock sa isang globe store. Yun kausap ko mismo rep nagsabi na wala na daw. Then myamya pinakita na sakin na nag avail din pala siya. Sila sila din daw sa globe store ang nakakuha. Tsk tsk. Same old story like sa smart. Unbelievable deals nga. Hehe
I beg to disagree this was not like smart I should know because isa ako sa mga sawing tumakbo at nakipagsiskan pag bukas ng mall pero sa huli umuwing luhaan. Dito naman unahan yung sa available units pero kahit wala na as long qualified at nakapag apply ka today you will get the note 2.
Saw a post in fb that there were enough units in smmakati. True enough marami nga when i went there Saturday 7pm. Applied for the plan 999 and right there and then got my note 2 non lte blue nga lng color no choice.
Since you availed of it, why not enlighten us regarding the real terms and conditions?

You might be thinking it’s to good to be true well in this case its true. I’ts the same Plan 999 except there is no cash out required for the Note 2. For Plan 999 you get 1,700PV which by default enrolls you to the combos UNLI SURF 999PV and ALL NET TEXT 100PV + 600PV (Note 2 handset cost) = 1,700PV. Hence you can also choose other combos for the 1,100PV available to you. Just to compare for the same unit and Plan 999 there is a cash out of 16,800 this the “real” plan at the Globe site.
Globe calls the promo “Unbelievable”, because you shouldn’t believe it in the first place. And it’s a simple mind fcuk to those who already are in contract. Yeah, it’s a great deal, pero tingnan mo, lagi out of stock… Paano, hndi pa narerelease ung promo, naka-aavail na ung relatives ng mga employees nila.
Nagtataka pa kayo, kaya nga unbelievable deals e, bwahaha!

Di siya pwede sa recontract for old subscriber. Naka plan 2499 ako nun tapos after 24 mos end contract, di ako kumuha ng phone kasi balak ko hintay note3. So offer nila monthly bill rebates. Downgrade ko sa plan 999 plus on top charge ng unlitxt. Nung nakita ko yan, tumawag agad ako customer service para take advantage kasi free nga sa 999. Pinapabayad ako 12k pesos para sa note2. Kasi raw considered on contract yunh bill rebates. Eh sabi naman nun pwede ko cancel bill rebates pag gusto ko na kumuha nh phone. Wala man lang disclaimer or fine print sa leaflet nila yung ganong terms!
pwede dapat yun ah. kasi kung bill rebates soft lock lang. nag bill rebates ako 6months bago ako nag avail ng free phone.
Better wait for Note 3. But this offer is tempting sa mga gusto mag-avail ng Note 2. Yun nga lang nagkakaubusan ng stocks. And para lang to sa new subscribers nila, di pwede ang recontracting.

As mentioned in the article, the promo comes with SuperSurf Plan 999 (most likely fixed plan yan). Which means all calls and SMS costs WILL BE ADDED ON TOP of your monthly P999 plan. Yan ang raket ng Globe. :)
@justin Yung plan 999 nila you get the supersurf combo (worth 999) + P101 consumable (where you can use for other call and text combos). aral-aral din pag may time :)
