Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S3 free on Plan 999 with Globe

Di siya pwede sa recontract for old subscriber. Naka plan 2499 ako nun tapos after 24 mos end contract, di ako kumuha ng phone kasi balak ko hintay note3. So offer nila monthly bill rebates. Downgrade ko sa plan 999 plus on top charge ng unlitxt. Nung nakita ko yan, tumawag agad ako customer service para take advantage kasi free nga sa 999. Pinapabayad ako 12k pesos para sa note2. Kasi raw considered on contract yunh bill rebates. Eh sabi naman nun pwede ko cancel bill rebates pag gusto ko na kumuha nh phone. Wala man lang disclaimer or fine print sa leaflet nila yung ganong terms!

nagpunta ako sa globe kanina at good news, ubos na yung note 2 at s3..

Saw a post in fb that there were enough units in smmakati. True enough marami nga when i went there Saturday 7pm. Applied for the plan 999 and right there and then got my note 2 non lte blue nga lng color no choice.

dapat kasi isama ng globe ung pagbabawal na makapagavail ng mga ganito ung mga employees nila…pero di rin nila gagawin yan kasi pera pa rin naman un kahit cnu bumili hahahaha

Same experience here, went to Globe this morning. Note 2 and S3 are not available since day1 pa daw sabi ng rep na nakausap ko. Even the 299 plan na Huawei G510 nde na din available only the Galaxy S Duos and S4@1799 and Note 2 LTE are available. Nakakainis dapat kung wala ng stock mag-receive pa rin sila ng application for the plan and provide the phone when it’s available.

I was able to get the Note 2 at Globe SM Marikina last Saturday (8/24). Blue is the only choice and the color does not matter. Globe Eastwood got lots of stocks too.

It is a rule of thumb on any sale to be at the store on it’s 1st day.

Unlike Smart’s iPhone 4S sale, I was able to get a Samsung Galaxy S3 sa Globe Glorietta within 2 hours (had to head back to the office for requirements) on the first day of the promo.

Side story: I saw another applicant who ought to get a S4 plan. Then I heard the store rep tell him that the S3 is free at Plan 999. He got the S3 instead and will just wait for the new iPhone daw. Good decision IMO :)

We applied to get a Note 2 in Filinvest Mall, Alabang. Sabi ng store rep, out of stock na daw even yung S3. Nakakapagtaka lang dahil dapat kung qualified ka, kahit ubos na yung stock, they should provide you by the time that they already have a stock. You’re qualified naman e. E ubusan lang daw, bad trip. Sana kung Day 2 or 3 pa lang ubos na, wag na nila ipakalat yung flyers. Lol.

Personally, I don’t think the promo is worth it. I have fallen to these kinds of promo twice and both times I regretted them. You get a Note 2 and your next upgrade would be the Note 5. In between, you’ll see the advantages of the Note 3 and 4 over the 2. And you would be pulling your hair over it. At least when you get the Note 3 at launch, skipping the Note 4 for 5 won’t be that excruciating. Personal opinion though.
