Alienware has just upgraded its flagship 17-inch gaming laptops, the Alienware m17 R5 and the Alienware x17 R2, by outfitting both with the industry's first 480Hz refresh rate display. Both laptops will be available with Full HD 1080p displays with a refresh rate of 480Hz and a response time of 3ms. However, the 480Hz display doesn't come as standard as it will be a USD 300 upgrade over the base 165Hz panel outfitted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecy01kqP7WY The Alienware x17 R2 can also be configured with the new 480Hz display. If your priority is a crisper display, then both models can also be configured with a 4K display but with its refresh rate capped at only 120Hz. To outfit both laptops with the new 480Hz display, you'll be looking at a starting price of USD 2,299.99 for the Alienware m17 R5 and USD 2,549.99 for the Alienware x17 R2. After spending its fair share of time in the rumor mill and doing a quick pose for a number of leaksters, the iPad Mini with Retina Display has made its official debut alongside its new 9.7-inch counterpart. More than just the Retina display, the iPad Mini also gets an engine overhaul; now sporting the fairly new 64-bit Apple A7 processor, along with the M7 battery saving core.
