Amazon launches the Echo Hub: a control panel tablet that controls devices in your home through Alexa. The Amazon Echo Hub is an 8-inch control panel that can control smart home devices through Alexa or the tablet itself. One of the features the Echo Hub has is to arm and disarm a house's security system through the Alexa app. The Amazon Echo Hub is priced at USD 179.99 and will be made available this year. Amazon has unveiled a new Echo Studio smart speaker at its fall 2025 hardware event, calling it the company’s “most advanced and best-sounding Echo ever.” The updated Studio is 40% smaller than the original 2019 model and features three full-range drivers, a custom woofer, spatial audio, and Dolby Atmos support. It can also be paired with up to five Studio or Echo Dot Max speakers alongside Fire TV devices for an “Alexa Home Theater” surround sound system. In the U.S., it will also include early access to Alexa Plus, Amazon’s AI-powered upgrade to Alexa. Amazon is adding a monthly subscription fee for Alexa soon.
