Amazon launches the Echo Hub: a control panel tablet that controls devices in your home through Alexa.

The Amazon Echo Hub is an 8-inch control panel that can control smart home devices through Alexa or the tablet itself. With over 140,000 devices compatible, the hub can lock your doors, turn on lights, be used for video doorbells, turn on appliances, and more.

One of the features the Echo Hub has is to arm and disarm a house’s security system through the Alexa app. This utilizes a home’s cameras, alarms, sensors, and locks to update the user while they are outside.

The Amazon Echo Hub is priced at USD 179.99 and will be made available this year.
