The impending launch of the new Asus Zenfone 2 is near, and some folks were a bit skeptical about a certain variant it would launch. In this hardware comparison, we'll put the ever-popular Asus Zenfone 5 against the low-end model of the Asus Zenfone 2, the ZE500CL, sporting almost the same hardware as the former. Besides e-commerce website Lazada, another online retailer has managed to get several units of the much-anticipated Asus Zenfone 2 and is now pre-selling the device at a sub-Php10k price. ASUS has launched the Zenfone 2 in Taiwan, introducing four variants with the base model starting at NT$4,990 or around Php7,000.
