Samsung has confirmed that Bixby will be receiving a generative AI update later this year. As surprising as it is, Bixby is still up and running. In other words, Samsung will develop Bixby without a partnership (for now) with Google nor OpenAI. Users will have the new Bixby and Gemini as options. “We’re going to advance Bixby with application of Gen AI technology. While current Samsung models now ship out with their latest Bixby assistant, old models will no longer have support for S Voice. The famous Active key has been replaced by Bixby button and it isn't remappable and there would be no underwater mode. Instead, they reported that the refurbished handset will be called the Galaxy Note FE and will launch with the company's Bixby on board with its feed of cards to act as an assistant of sorts.
