Now described as a "conversational device agent," the new Bixby is intended to comprehend natural language commands more effectively. The user can use voice commands to prevent the screen from turning off which activates the correct setting through Bixby. The assistant can perform live web searches, which show current information through the Bixby interface. The new Bixby operates in multiple countries, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US. Samsung has confirmed that Bixby will be receiving a generative AI update later this year. As surprising as it is, Bixby is still up and running. In other words, Samsung will develop Bixby without a partnership (for now) with Google nor OpenAI.
