Today Canon announced the successor to that rugged line-up -- the Canon PowerShot D20. Canon Powershot D20 specs: 12MP CMOS sensor DIGIC 4 chip 28-140mm equivalent 5x optical zoom 1080p video Image stabilization built-in GPS 3-inch LCD This rugged point-and-shoot camera got a complete redesign with a smaller and slimmer profile with an odd shape. The Canon D20 is waterproof up to 33 feet, shockproof up to 5 feet, tolerant to temperatures between 14 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Canon promises the Canon D20 will be available in May for about $350. Among the dozens of new P&S cameras that Canon Philippines introduced yesterday, the Powershot D10 attracted the most curiosity. {via PTB} Update: Canon Philippines reps don't have final figure on the price but says it will be available locally by May 2009.
