Singapore – Sony Philippines has invited us to witness the regional launch of the Sony A7 Mark II, the latest addition to the full-frame mirrorless interchangeable lens camera lineup of the Japan-based camera maker. Contrary to what its naming may suggest, the arrival of the new Sony A7 Mark II doesn’t mean the end of Sony’s first full-frame MILC, the Sony A7. Instead, it will serve as an additional variant of the company’s current compact full frame lineup, just like the A7R and the A7S. We’ve seen other mirrorless cameras infused with a similar stabilization in the past (Olympus OM-D), but Sony is keen to point out that this is the first time that a 5-axis IS is implemented on a full frame camera, making the Sony A7 Mark II a world’s first.
