Samsung Messages users on older Galaxy units have raised its concern on this issue, but as per PhoneArena, users will still retain the app and can continuously utilize the app. It’s no longer available in the Play Store; however, those who chose to utilize Samsung Messages are still able to do so.” And adds, “We believe that the added functionality of RCS messaging on Google Messages creates an enhanced user experience for both Android-to-Android messaging and across platforms.”   Meta says this update is meant to help users shape their experience based on changing interests.
