GCash and PayMaya will start charging fees for online bank transfers starting October 1, 2020. GCash has recently updated the Send Money page to its Help Center website, adding that it will resume the charging of fees for bank transfers per transaction starting October 1, 2020. Source: GCash Help Center, PayMaya  via ABS-CBN News Starting October 1, 2025, direct cash-in transactions to GCash will be routed to InstaPay. In addition, GCash confirmed that there will be no additional fees for direct cash-ins under the new system. Given the news, BPI will begin charging a PHP 15 fee for cash-in transactions made via InstaPay. It will include transfers to GCash and other e-wallets, effective October 1. As per BPI, they’re making the change to align with the aforementioned BSP directive.
