Baguio City has revealed that they have created a blockchain called GoodGovChain which is based on the BayaniChain Digital Public Asset (DPA) Framework. "GoodGovChain represents a massive leap forward in how we think about government systems. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has ordered the XM Group to stop offering investments in the Philippines for operating without the required licenses. In November 7, 2025, the SEC issues a cease and desist order to Trading Point Holdings Limited, also known as XM, XM Global Limited, and XM Philippines. SEC has stated that XM is not registered in the Philippines and does not have the required licenses along with permits for crypto-related services. Filipinos in Japan can now send money directly to GCash accounts in the Philippines through PayForex, making remittances faster and easier without going to remittance centers. With this integration, Pinoys in Japan can now remit money from PayForex straight to the GCash wallets of their families in the Philippines. Klook Philippines general manager Michelle Ho said the goal is to help Filipinos enjoy smoother travel experiences by combining Klook’s travel services with GCash’s financial tools.
