The 2nd-generation Google Nexus 7 is now up for pre-order on Best Buy, pre-empting the official announcement later tonight. Packing a 7-inch full HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.3 Jellybean, the Nexus 7 v2 starts at $229. The new Nexus tablet now features a 5 megapixel rear camera paired with a 1.3MP front-facing camera. Google changed the rubbery texture on the back with the kind of plastic that is similar to the one on the Nexus 10. The new Google Nexus 7 will be sold for $229 for the 16GB variant, $269 for the 32GB and $349 for the 32GB LTE model; that’s $30 more than the previous model at release. Expect this Google tablet to be priced a little higher once it arrives in local stores (perhaps Php13,995 for the 16GB and Php16,995 for the 32GB). The Nexus 7 v2 will be launching on July 30.
