The 2nd-generation Google Nexus 7 is now up for pre-order on Best Buy, pre-empting the official announcement later tonight. Packing a 7-inch full HD display, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU, 2GB RAM and Android 4.3 Jellybean, the Nexus 7 v2 starts at $229PHP 13,439INR 19,408EUR 218CNY 1,667.
The new Nexus tablet now features a 5 megapixel rear camera paired with a 1.3MP front-facing camera. Google changed the rubbery texture on the back with the kind of plastic that is similar to the one on the Nexus 10.

The new Google Nexus 7 will be sold for $229PHP 13,439INR 19,408EUR 218CNY 1,667 for the 16GB variant, $269PHP 15,786INR 22,798EUR 256CNY 1,958 for the 32GB and $349PHP 20,481INR 29,578EUR 332CNY 2,540 for the 32GB LTE model; that’s $30PHP 1,761INR 2,542EUR 29CNY 218 more than the previous model at release. Expect this Google tablet to be priced a little higher once it arrives in local stores (perhaps Php13,995USD 238INR 20,217EUR 227CNY 1,737 for the 16GB and Php16,995USD 290INR 24,551EUR 276CNY 2,109 for the 32GB).
Pre-orders are now up on Best Buy here, while it will also be made available for pre-order on other sites. The Nexus 7 v2 will be launching on July 30.
