It hasn’t been a week since Apple announced the iPad Mini, but a Chinese manufacturer has already unveiled a clone called GooPad Mini and plans to sell it at more reasonable price as compared to the real thing. The first of its kind, the GooPad Mini is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor backed by a gigabyte of RAM. Just to put icing on the fake cake, the company also outfitted the GooPad Mini with an iOS-like launcher. The GooPad Mini is set to hit the Chinese shelves starting next month with a USD99 price tag. While we thought the HP Mini 1000 was the next netbook out of HP's doors, the new HP Mini 2140 isn't far behind -- replacing the previous Mini 2133 with Via CPU to an Intel Atom. Those who bought the Mini 2133 earlier will not be happy to learn that the new Mini 2140 will sport the same keyboard goodness (92% full keyboard size), a 10.1-inch display screen size (1366x768 and 1024x567 resolutions), and powered by an Intel Atom processor. Expect the pricing structure to be similar to the MIni 2133 when it first came out -- starting at $499 and higher. HP has not formally launched the new Mini Note 1000 but Villman & PC Corner has already listed the netbook on their site with a suggested retail price of Php21,950. Read more in our articles including "GooPhone outs iPad Mini knock-off" and "HP Mini 2140 now with Intel Atom too".
