GrabFood is Grab's dedicated food delivery service in the Philippines, integrated directly into the main Grab app. Launched in June 2018, it allows users to order from a wide variety of partner restaurants and have meals delivered to their doorstep. The service has evolved to offer 24/7 operations in key areas, various promos, and features designed to support both customers and delivery partners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is GrabFood available 24/7?

Yes, GrabFood has offered 24/7 delivery operations in Metro Manila and Cebu since August 2019, partnering with around 1,000 restaurants. This 24-hour service continued even during re-implemented curfew hours in March 2021, covering GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabExpress, and GrabCar.

How do I order using GrabFood?

To order, open the Grab app and change the service from 'Transport' to 'Food'. Enter your delivery address, choose from the list of nearby restaurants, add items to your basket, and place your order. Initially, payment was cash-only, but the platform has since integrated various cashless options.

What measures did Grab implement to help delivery riders?

Grab PH announced in June 2020 that it would shoulder the advance payment for food orders, alleviating the financial burden on riders from sudden cancellations. Payments are sent to restaurants via GrabPay, and riders use a digital wallet with a maximum limit of PHP 1,500 for transactions, so they no longer need to use their own cash upfront.
