HTC recently confirms that it started seeding the Android Lollipop update for their current flagship smartphone – the HTC One (M8). If you got yours from a telco, then chances are you still have to wait a little more before you can upgrade your smartphone to Android Lollipop. As with the previous updates, the Android Lollipop will be seeded OTA and the download will be 580MB in size. It will come with the new HTC Sense 6 UI along with all of the good stuff that Android 5.0 has to offer. Without the iPhone, we would not have seen the likes of Samsung Instinct, Omnia i900, HTC Touch Diamond, LG Dare and Sony-Ericsson Xperia this early. I had 4 most likely candidates as a great iPhone alternative -- the HTC Touch Diamond, Nokia N96, Samsung i900 Omnia and the Sony-Ericsson Xperia. I had mixed feelings after trying out the HTC Touch Dual phone several weeks ago. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7200, 400 MHz processor running Windows Mobile 6 and is compatible with all of the usual HTC accessories.
