During our line tour of LG Display at the Paju LCD Factory, an LG liaison reveals that they're the ones that provide Apple with the multi-touch screen for the upcoming iPad. In this video demo of LG's multi-touch display screen using a technology called IPS (In-Plane Switching). LG has been supplying this type of display for the Apple iMac so it's not a surprise they're doing the same for the iPad. When pressed how many display panels they were making for Apple's iPad, an LG General Manager would not disclose but says its a lot. Display and Touchscreen Size does matter and the iPad's form factor offers a great combination between portability and mobile computing. Those familiar with the display of the iPhone and the iPod Touch will be pleasantly surprised with the screen of the iPad.
