The Netflix ISP Speed Index measures prime-time Netflix performance on particular ISPs worldwide. Delivery and Distribution In order to deliver the best streaming quality and reduce the load in the network, Netflix gives out cache servers called Open Connect Appliances to local telcos and ISPs.
