Nikon revamps their upper entry-level offering with the release of the 24MP-toting D5200. The Nikon D5200 is outfitted with the new EXPEED3 image processor that allows it to shoot up to 5fps compared to its predecessor that can only go 4fps. Though both the D5100 and D5200 has the same DX format APS-C sensor, Nikon was able to squeeze in an additional 8MP on the latter’s sensor. Nikon’s new DSLR boasts a 39-point autofocus system with 9 cross-type sensors at the center similar to the D600. The camera is also equipped with Nikon’s latest GUI which is displayed on the 3-inch, 920k dots articulating LCD screen. In terms of video recording, the D5200 offers users with more shooting options compared to its older brother. Nikon D5200 specs: 24MP CMOS sensor 23.6 x 15.7mm DX format EXPEED3 processor ISO 100-1600 (expandable up to 12800 HI or 25600 H2) 30-1/4000 sec.
