Nintendo Switch charging stand

Announced via Nintendo Europe’s X account, the Nintendo Switch is getting a Joy-Con charging stand later this year. The Switch has been around for almost a decade now, so Nintendo pulling the trigger on this announcement was surprising. However, Nintendo launching their own charging station this year must’ve been unexpected considering the console’s life cycle is winding down. The station is compatible with a Switch dock, charging plugs, and Nintendo’s wireless NES gamepads. Nintendo’s two-way Joy-Con charging stand is set to launch on October 17, 2024. The Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) has announced the latest update to the Qi wireless charging standard with Qi2 25W (Qi v2.2.1). Notably, the WPC shared that faster charging stands as the top user-requested feature for wireless charging. Several stores in the Philippines have officially dropped pre-order details for the new Nintendo Switch 2.
