Samsung is reportedly delaying its upcoming "Extended Reality" (XR) headset due to Apple's recent unveiling of its Apple Vision Pro last June. According to Korean news channel SBS Biz, the upcoming Samsung XR headset was set to start mass production at the beginning of 2024. In particular, it was mentioned that the specifications of Apple's Vision Pro prompted the postponement — which tells us that Samsung is reconsidering its own product decisions in line with Apple's take on VR. It's clear that Apple's unveiling of its upcoming VR headset has had a big effect on the industry, keeping competitors like Samsung on their toes. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official. This new Samsung i8510 phone will be named Innovate or Innov8.
