In a lunch event today, Globe Telecom and Tata Communications announced that their new submarine cable system has been activated and carrying traffic to the Philippines. Called the Tata Global Network - Intra Asia (TGN-IA), the cable system has been in plans since 2006 (even before the Taiwan earthquake that crippled internet in the Philippines). Smart Communications, the mobile arm of PLDT, has rolled out a new feature that lets its users make video calls directly from their phones without the need for apps like Messenger, Zoom, or WhatsApp. The itel VistaTab 10 mini is now available in the Philippines. This compact, entry-level device joins the itel VistaTab 30GT and itel VistaTab 30S as the brand’s latest tablet offerings. The itel VistaTab 10 mini is priced at PHP 4,199 and can be found listed online via itel’s official website.
