Xiaomi 17 launched

The Xiaomi 17 is now official, notably skipping the 16th iteration of their numbers-oriented series. We have a separate article for the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max for interested readers. The display also features ultra-thin bezels at 1.18mm and protection from Xiaomi’s Dragon Crystal Glass. In addition, the phone will ship with Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 out of the box. The Xiaomi 17 is available in China, starting at CNY 4,499 (~PHP 37K) with 12GB/256GB. Alongside the regular Pad 8, Xiaomi also unveiled the Pad 8 Pro, which brings a more powerful chipset and upgraded charging while keeping the same slim design. For cameras, Xiaomi fitted the Pad 8 Pro with a 50MP rear shooter and a 32MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. The highly-anticipated Xiaomi 17 Pro Series has been launched, which includes the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max and Xiaomi 17 Pro.
