Globe Telecoms has officially launched their postpaid offerings that will come bundled with the new iPad 3. As expected, the Apple tablet is being offered at discounted prices when you subscribe to a Tattoo Broadband plan.

Globe is offering the new iPad with Plan 499 and Plan 999 with additional cash out depending on the desired storage capacity. The cash out can be paid immediately or installment for 3, 6, 9 months or a year for 0% interest.

Here’s a rundown of how much each will cost you.

Globe Tattoo Plan 499
New iPad 16GB (4G + Wi-Fi) – Php29,990
New iPad 32GB (4G + Wi-Fi) – Php39,990
New iPad 64GB (4G + Wi-Fi) – Php34,990

Globe Tattoo Plan 999:
New iPad 16GB (4G + Wi-Fi) – Php21,990
New iPad 32GB (4G + Wi-Fi) – Php25,990
New iPad 64GB (4G + Wi-Fi) – Php30,990

Plan 499 comes with 292 hours of free surfing a month while Plan 999 is unlimited. Globe promises up to 7.2Mbps on the new iPad plan.

These plans will have 24-months lock-in period. If you donâ€™t want to be tied with this service, you can opt to purchase an unlocked version of the new iPad at Apple Online store.

Sir, me tanong lang, ano po bang nakalagay sa upper left kapag nag wifi tethering ka? gamit ang 4G. Or pano po malalaman sa device ng apple kapag 4g ang device?

You can get a globe postpaid plan at P999 unlimited data na yon. Together with the plan is an ipad4 unit 32gb wifi with sim na you have to pay in cash or credit at 25k. ang 999 monthly is for two years.

I really can’t get it. Pahelp naman po.
1.How much was the first na babayaran kung kukuha ng unit?
2. Seperate yung pagbayad sa unit and sa unlifsurf monthly?
3. Was this only exclusive for Globe only and you can’t connect to wifi?
4.999pesos monthly? So all in all, ilan ang total na nabayaran after the 24-month period?

1. Can the cash-out be paid thru credit card at 0% installment? If yes, for how many months can this be availed?

2. Is this offer better than buying an unlocked IPad 3 WIFI at the App Store at Php28,990 and have an unlisurf plan Php999 from either Globe or Smart?

new ipad 16 gb wifi only tapos try to buy wifi plug it mga 4500 un,atlis for 5 device nayun and pwede pa syang palitan ng sim kung mabagal signal sa location and if u dont want to use globe tpos load nlang sya,or try to register sa mga plans ng smart like unlisurf 50 for 24 hrs :)kesa sa plan 999 or 499 a month di pa sure kung mabilis signal sa location,kailngan mu muna hintyin 2yrs diba :)

Bought my ipad 3, 16GB wi-fi only, yesterday at electroworld in sm city north edsa annex bldg. and i got it for P26,000 at 0% interest for 10 months which i guess is a good deal.

Bought my iPad 2 last year sa Globe under a similar promo (Unlisurf 999, 16GB iPad 2 – 22k cashout, 2-years locked) Nasusulit ko yung plan ko, minsan malas lang din talaga sa location, pero sa bahay namin nag-average ako ng 400-600kb/s download speeds. Good offer ito kung gamit na gamit niyo talaga ang internet, lalo na sa mga students. Ayos na yung 10k na natipid mo kasi may plan ka na, and you can use the 10k for the payment of the plan!

Sana lang magawang constant ng globe yung promise nila na at least 7.2mbps kahit around the whole metro man lang, kaso asa pa tayong mangyayare yun.

sir, question lang. so 999 per month db? 2 years to pay yan for 999php then the unit is yours na? no need to pay para sa unit (ipad3)?

Got the globe 999 with the 64gb ipad3. Just found out that I can’t use my ipad3 as a personal hotspot since globe doesn’t allow that feature. It is not part of the OS system of iPad like it is with the Samsung galaxy s2. Would have been nice if it was allowed but guess not

GLOBE’s offer is so tempting (with 10k discount) but still i’ll just wait for SMART’s iPad data plan offer.. I will not waste 2 years of crawling internet connection with GLOBE :S

I’m planning to buy the new ipad on July. Saan po bah mas maganda bumili at mura dito sa Pinas or sa Hong Kong? May nagtitinda kasi sa gray market ng 32 gig wifi only ng 27500 on cash… Then sa Hong kOng naman ay cheap lang about 26k plus lang pag convert to peso sa apple online store which means baka makamura pako nun… Any thoughts on this? Thanks po…

it kinda makes sense. somewhat. you buy a 4G iPad because you have plans of using globe’s “4G” aka HSPA+ network so still need a plan. i do wish they offered kahit man lang 3K off from the unit price under the 499 plan

sadly it’s impossible for them to do that, If they would actually offer that, no one will avail the plan 999. It’s kind of a marketing strategy.

does that mean that the cash posted above are the amount of the cashout to be paid with globe??!!! wow!can’t believe it. you can buy those in cash with those amount and not be tied up with 2 years of paying monthly a bill worth 1k plus the 30k cashout!!!

FYI you get a model that’s worth 30k for the price of 21k, and you also get unlimited wireless access for 999 a month. Some people can actually make use of the service, unlike many people that waste the potential of said tablet by dumbing it down into a game machine. In our current fast paced society, Internet-on-the-go is priceless, just like how texting was worth many millions 10 years ago.

I would like to see Globe prove that it can even down 7Mbps down, in several main parts of manila, like makati, cuabo, etc they cant do it

7.2 Mbit/s ? Seriously ? That device is capable of almost up to 42 Mbit/s and they can just carry 7.2 ? Wow this is a 2012 device running on a not so 2012 network.

Buy an unlocked version and see if the other telco can maximize iPad’s potential… Better yet, buy this and take it to another country with full LTE capability… huwag lang sa Australia at baka sumama kayo sa mga taong nag-file ng kaso vs. Apple for misleading them that it’s a 4G device.

Oo nga, sayang 999 per month unlimited tapos ang taas pa ng cash out!
Pero kung ako lang, wifi version na lang kukunin ko sa apple center at tether ko na lang smartphone ko.
Tapos may limit pang 50MB ang AppStore, dapat wifi connection ka na pag magddownload ng app na lalagpas ganyang space. So sayang lang network speed ko kung pang browse lang, youtube videos etc. WiFi version na lang! :)

@Guest, ang taas pa ng cash out? seriously dude, it’s already a php 10k discount! Go check the original price of the new iPad wifi + 4G then compare it with the ones in plan 999.
