Cavite government launches LINKod Kabitenyo Free WiFi Access

The provincial government of Cavite has officially launched the LINKod Kabitenyo Free WiFi Access, providing free internet to key areas and establishments in the province.

The free WiFi access be available to the following cities and municipalities for the Phase 1 of the roll-out:

* Bacoor
* Dasmarinas City
* General Trias
* Imus City
* Rosario
* Silang
* Tanza
* Trece Martires City

The free WiFi acces are mostly installed in Barangay halls, schools, universities, and other government buildings likes outposts and sports complex. You can check the Provincial Government of Cavite’s Facebook page here for the exact locations.

According to a report by Rappler, Cavite ICT officer Camille del Rosario said that the free WiFi has a current capacity of 1Gbps. Students are given 1Mbps speed with 50MB data for one hour per day, while teachers get 2Mbps speed with 50MB data.

The free WiFI uses the SSID “LINKod Kabitenyo”. Users are required to register either as a Regular user or as a Guest. For the login and registration procedure, click here 11.
