Spotify Adds Weekly Listening Stats Feature

Listen to article

Spotify has released a new feature that lets users see their weekly listening stats, the company announced. The feature is meant to give listeners a simple snapshot of the music they played during the week, including their top artists and songs.

The weekly stats are available to both free and Premium users in over 60 countries, making it easy for more people to track their music habits. The feature also creates playlists based on what users listened to, helping them find new songs and artists they might enjoy.

Each week, users will also receive a highlight card that shows something special about their listening. This could be a song they played many times, a new artist they recently discovered, or a moment that shows how much they support a certain musician.

To view the stats, users simply need to tap their profile photo in the Spotify app and select “Listening Stats.” The section will display the top songs, top artists, and suggested playlists. Spotify also added a Share button, allowing users to post their weekly stats on social media or send them to friends.

Spotify says the goal of the update is to give people a fun way to look back at their music choices and share their music identity with others.
