Elephone has entered the Philippine market starting with three devices from their arsenal — a budget, a midrange, and a flagship. The P9000 is the top-of-the-line smartphone from the Hong Kong-based brand. It’s got a Helio P10 processor and 4GB of RAM in a slick chassis.

The body of the handset has an aluminum frame with a full frontal glass and a textured polycarbonate back panel. The front has the 5.5-inch full HD display, earpiece, couple of sensors, 8-megapixel front camera, and a single capacitive button. The button acts as a back key with a single tap, home with a double tap, and shows the recent apps with a tap and hold.

The right side has the volume rocker and the power/lock button while on the right is where the customizable button is and the SIM card tray slot.

The top has the 3.5mm headphone jack and the bottom has the USB Type-C port, speaker grilles, and the microphone pinhole.

The back houses the primary 13-megapixel camera along with its dual-tone LED flash and laser focus sensor. Beneath them is the fingerprint scanner and a shiny Elephone branding at the lower back.

Specs-wise, we have a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor, Mali-T860 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s wireless charging capabilities and a new USB Type-C port. Those specifics put the P9000 somewhere in between midrange and high-end smartphones. So far, there’s no issue in terms of performance and a quick Antutu benchmark gives it a 45,962 score.
