WhatsApp has finally rolled out an official app for Apple iPads — more than a decade after the messaging service first launched in 2009.
Rumors of an iPad version of WhatsApp first emerged in 2022, and only now has that come to fruition.

The iPad version brings the same features users are familiar with, but now optimized for a bigger screen. It supports multitasking tools like Split View and Slide Over, so users can chat while using other apps at the same time.
It also works with Apple’s Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil and supports video and audio calls with up to 32 participants. Like on other devices, chats stay synced across all linked devices.
WhatsApp for iPad is now available on the App Store.
As for Instagram, there’s still no dedicated iPad app. However, recent reports suggest Meta might finally be working on one, after years of making users rely on the iPhone version.
