Asus Transformer 2 teaser video goes Zen

Listen to article

The teaser video of the upcoming Asus Transformer 2 shows a better and thinner design that could be inspired by their Zen-like ultrabook form-factor.

The 10-inch tablet + keyboard dock combination looks very similar to the Asus UX design.

No details about the hardware were revealed but the video shows a thinner design, a camera flash, a brushed finish and more tapered edges.

We might be looking at an Android 4.0 Ice Cream tablet here with a quad-core NVidia Kal-el processor but that’s just wishful thinking.

Updated: So Asus has finally shown the actual unit at AsiaD (via Engadget) in Hong Kong.

Asus calls it the Transformer Prime running on a quad-core Tegra 3 processor. It’s 8.3mm thin and has almost the same configuration as the first Transformer.

Cool thing!

It is much better than IpadII, as it has a keyboard!

ASUS chairman Jonney Shih confirmed that the Padfone would start shipping in the first quarter of 2012 with Ice Cream Sandwich on board. Yum!

64gig SSD
core i5
wacom digitizer pen
separate bluetooth keyboard
free folio case with multi-position stand function

Available in the US but not Asia, I believe.
Will take it out for a spin.

Its because Philippines is not the prime market for 1st release products, what brand releases their product in America / Europe at the same time in Philippines as well?

Even iPhone 1 to 4 took time to get here in the Philippines. or for that matter if what you are demanding is to be out here in the Philippines at the same date of the launch then that would take a MIRACLE.

One very good example is iPhone4S, is it officially here?

In short, if you want to be the 1st you have two options.

1 – Buy at overpriced INFOMAX
2 – Buy abroad

Its that simple.
